Tropical, Rainy Cairns

Since its pouring all day here, I haven't gotten out much.  Which means bonus picture posts.

Tomorrow I'm going for a full day rafting trip on the Tully River.  It will probably be raining and I'll be wet anyway.  At least I won't be submerged.  My body would revolt.  But rafting through the rain forest should be good.


I don't have to explain what that big gray one is.  The crew was nice enough to feed him before we jumped off that platform.

All those dots?  Crabs.  Cairns itself is located on a shallow mud flat bay not a sandy beach.  So this is what low tide looks like.
