First Post

Given:  Your brother and cousin blogged their semesters abroad.  You are going for three semesters abroad.

Find:  Something to blog about and do it.

Solution:  As you can see from above, this task has been assigned to me by those who so selfishly have blogged before me.  But by that same token, I have enjoyed their blogging, and I have enjoyed the blogging of those Milbloggers you see listed on the right.  Check them out, each is well worth your time.   

The first goal of this blog is to keep those back home informed of what I am doing, or at least let them see some activity to let them know I am still of rational thought.  That's the travel.  Everyone likes travel.  Most of everyone really likes places of travel that are warm, sunny and are well known for diving.  Many divers like the cold wrecks and rocks of the North Atlantic, but when most people hear of diving, they think Fiji, Aruba, Cozumel, and the Great Barrier Reef.  That's part number three up at the top.

As for the second part, subs, I will mostly be posting my thoughts on what others have found.  I don't have the contacts yet to be the first post on a topic.  The travel and school and diving will make up the bulk of my posts until I am better settled.  But look for thoughts on Nuke School (guest blogger??), the Naval Academy, the Fleet, my Alma Mater Webb Institute, and hopefully what I know and what I can discuss about the Silent Service both in the US and with the Royal Australian Navy.
